About The Artist

Visual Artist Tara Koury has been immersed in the world of arts for over two decades. She uses color schemes, brush strokes, highlights, and shadows to bring life to the canvas and give it meaning. She is inspired by the desire to help others and uses her background in social services to find creative ways to educate the community through art workshops and interactive exhibits.

When creating her work, the artist uses people and places that have inspired her in life. She specializes in landscapes and portraits, but is continually expanding her knowledge and expertise to always offer diverse and original art.

When teaching, she values the creative expression of her students over all else. She provides them with the tools and knowledge to challenge their inner artist, all the while respecting their rhythm and expressive freedom.  She believes that everyone can create art if they have the right tools at their disposal.
